SMART BOARD IMPACTS ON THE STUDENTS ACQUISITION: ANALYTICAL DESCRIPTIVE STUDY

Abstract

The objective of this research paper is to introduce the Smart Board, in terms of its components, advantages and impact on the level of student achievement. This paper is part of an applied doctoral study conducted by the researcher in post-primary education schools in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, Sultanate of Oman. The Smart Board has been sold on the market since 1999 and has been continuously improved. The problem is the modernity of the Smart Board in the Sultanate of Oman, the lack of studies on the impact of its use, its impact on academic achievement, and the existence of negative attitudes among teachers towards modern education techniques. The findings indicated that there are many advantages of using this board in the classroom for both teachers and learners. The significant of this study is to understand the concept of the board, its components, its advantages and its impact on the level of educational in schools, so that can help teachers and students in the context of teaching and learning.
