The article discusses the reality of effective educational communication between the school principal and the educational supervisor in the Sultanate of Oman, in light of the contemporary challenges and future roles of each of them, in addition to the areas of activating communication practices which are in four areas: strategic planning, exchange of information with the community. Through the analytical descriptive approach; to the selected data from the literature on the reality of effective educational communication, a series of results were drawn: the communication process in the institution is necessary to achieve common goals and cooperation to fulfill the duties of the institution. There are a number of challenges for the school principal and educational supervisor to face; including the rapid growth of information and communication technology, the increasing importance of computers, the most important sources of teaching and learning, and the importance of e-learning websites. Future roles for each school principal and educational supervisor included areas of strategic planning, information exchange and exchange, professional development of teachers, and communication with the local community. The work of the educational supervisor is integrated with the school administration in exchanging teachers 'data, holding discussion sessions after class visits, cooperating in the preparation of guidance bulletins, organizing discussion sessions on students' problems of achievement, working with teachers, studying the latest trends with teachers on curriculum development, Relations between the school community and the local environment. And inviting parents to participate in school activities and student competitions. And activating the role of school councils.
